After almost four years of leading Dragons programs in Nepal and India, Briana returned to the U.S. where she became involved in the non-profit sector, working as a mentor and advocate for youth affected by the foster care system, LGBTQ youth, and other systems involving youth. Today, she is actively involved in launching a non-profit called the Healing and Reconciliation Institute, which uses evidence-based reconciliation tools and practices to help heal racial and historical divides. As a certified Integral Coach, Briana runs her own leadership and life coaching practice supporting individuals and organizations to navigate complexity and strengthen the impact of their work. Her work with the Dragons Fund is inspired by her commitment to diversity and access to the transformative opportunities possible through a global education.
Dragons Fund is a program of the COMMON Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in partnership with Reed Harwood, Owner and Executive Director of Where There Be Dragons. For decades, Where There Be Dragons has discounted tuition for those with financial need. Dragons Fund furthers this goal by expanding educational reach across economic barriers by providing need-based scholarships for students and teachers to attend programs, making it possible for individuals who would otherwise not have access. Where There Be Dragons will match the total donations raised, up to $150,000 in discounted tuition, for students receiving scholarships each year. You can donate to the Dragons Fund today.
